Hey all. Just wanted to let you know that I’m still here. Last week was homecoming week which has kept me extremely busy. I’ll come back with some juicy updates soon. Ok, it’s not really that juicy. Honestly, it’s rather dry. Yes, I know I’m dull. I’m ok with that. More to come soon…I promise.
This is a video of drummer Tony Royster Jr. At the time of this video he was 12 years old. I just have to say that this kid has got it going on. I think he may be in his early 20’s now…if that. Romack, are you watching? This kid has amazing control.
Roughly translated, battle of the drums. Actually, that might be the exact translation. This is one of the best drumming performances I have seen in quite a while. Justin, I think you would appreciate this. It truly is 8 minutes of drumming awesomeness. One is the drummer from the group Godsmack and I have no idea who the other one is. They are both really really good though. Enjoy!
So last week I was down with the flu. The flu is not a fun thing to have. It completely drains you of all your energy and leaves you feeling helpless. I had to miss 2 days of work because of it. I normally don’t ever stop working, but not last week. I did however manage to make it to work by Wednesday when I felt I wasn’t contagious. It also might have had something to do with Miss Texas 2007 being on campus. Maybe just a little. Actually, I was getting tired of…myself. I spent those first 3 days curled up on the couch coughing and watching tv. I was bored within the first 10 minutes. Over a week has passed and while I’m mostly well, I’m still dealing with this lingering cough which is quite annoying.
I was surfing around the other day, before I was sick, and I came across a new song. Actually, it was pointed out to me by a friend. None the less, I stumbled upon and I want to share the lyrics with you. I think a lot of people can identify with what this song is saying. It’s written by a friend of mines friend named Josh Martin.
For me, it’s a simple question. Why do I do the things that I despise? Why do I think that I need to impress God? Take a listen to it on Josh’s myspace. It’s a really cool song. Take a listen and tell me what you think.
